What does Check N Tow actually do?

Check N Tow is a battery-powered, shop-grade trailer light tester. It lets you fully diagnose 7-way RV blade and 4-way flat trailer plugs — left turn, right turn, brake, tail, electric brake, reverse, and 12V — without ever hooking up to a tow vehicle.
Which tool batteries does it work with?

It runs on Milwaukee M18, DeWalt Type 2 (20V MAX), and Snap-On 18V batteries. Snap one in and you're ready to test.
Does it support both 7-way and 4-way trailers?

Yes. The tester has integrated 7-way RV blade and 4-way flat connectors built in, so you can move between trailer types without adapters.
Can it run multiple functions at the same time?

Yes — that's a core feature. You can fire turn, brake, tail, and marker circuits simultaneously to verify how the trailer responds under real driving conditions, including turn flash and brake override.
Will it work with LED trailer lights?

Yes. Check N Tow works flawlessly with both modern LED and legacy incandescent trailer lighting.
Is it really serviceable, or is it throw-away electronics?

Serviceable by design. It uses automotive-grade relays, a flasher relay, and circuit protection — components you can replace instead of tossing the entire unit.
How is the unit protected against overloads?

Check N Tow uses three automotive-style circuit breakers: a 20 A main breaker on the high-voltage input side; a 10 A breaker that feeds the flashers, brakes, and tail lights; and a 15 A breaker for the electric brake, 12 V/AUX, and reverse-light circuits. If something shorts, the breaker trips — no blown fuses to hunt down.
